Popular Nigerian blogger and entertainer Tunde Ednut has now become a citizen of the United States. Along with that big news, he also received a very special award — the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Tunde happily shared this update with his fans on Instagram. He posted a picture of his new American passport next to the award plaque. In his message, he showed how proud he was of the achievement.

The President’s Lifetime Achievement Award is a huge honor given to people who have spent over 4,000 hours doing volunteer work to help their communities.

After he posted the news, many celebrities reacted. Singer Tiwa Savage joked about how good he looked in the photos, saying, “This one that you are now handsome like this in these pictures… na AI.” Other stars like Davido, Cubana Chief Priest, and Destiny Etiko also sent their congratulations.

This isn’t the first time Tunde has been recognized for his efforts. In January 2025, he received a Certificate of Recognition from Prince George’s County, Maryland, for the way he has helped and inspired the African diaspora community in the U.S.
