Ademola Lookman might not play in Atalanta’s upcoming Serie A match against Roma. According to the Daily Post, he is currently dealing with an injury.
The game will be played on Monday at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo. It is part of Matchday 36 of the Serie A season.
Lookman did not take part in training on Friday. Reports say he has an inflamed Achilles tendon, which is causing him pain.
Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini and his team still have two days to prepare. Lookman will be checked to see if he is fit enough to join the squad.
Last Sunday, Lookman scored a goal in Atalanta’s 4-0 win over Monza. That goal ended a run of six games without scoring.
This season, Lookman has been very important for Atalanta. He has scored 19 goals and made 7 assists across all competitions.
Atalanta are currently third in the Serie A standings with 68 points. They are five points ahead of Roma, who are in fifth place, and there are only three matches left in the season.
