UCL: He’s like Fabregas, puts me on my knees – Wenger hails Barcelona player

Arsene Wenger, the legendary former Arsenal manager, has praised Barcelona star Pedri, saying he reminds him of Cesc Fabregas, who once captained Arsenal.

Wenger made these comments after Barcelona’s 4-3 loss to Inter Milan in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final, held at San Siro on Tuesday night.

Wenger shared his thoughts during an interview on beIN SPORTS, saying that while most people are talking about Lamine Yamal, he wants to highlight Pedri instead.

“Pedri is truly special,” Wenger said. “He impresses me so much that I’m in awe watching him. His skills and football intelligence are amazing.”

The Frenchman compared Pedri to Cesc Fabregas, saying they have a similar way of controlling the game. “They both have leadership and confidence. On the field, you can really see their presence,” he added.

Pedri, who is just 22 years old, is expected to reach 200 matches for Barcelona before this season ends. Despite his young age, he has already won major titles like La Liga and the European Championship with Spain.

Wenger’s words show just how much potential Pedri has to become one of the world’s best midfielders in the coming years.
