Insecurity: Nigeria will not yield to fear, terror, treachery – Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reiterated his commitment to safeguarding Nigeria’s sovereignty, declaring that the nation will not give in to fear, terror, or betrayal. His message came during a visit to the frontline troops in Katsina State, where he commended their courage and assured them of unwavering support from the government.

Speaking with the troops, President Tinubu emphasized the resilience of the Nigerian spirit and the determination to overcome all threats, whether from internal collaborators or foreign adversaries. He confidently stated that those who aim to destabilize the country will fail.

“To those trying to disrupt Nigeria’s peace—whether they are working from within or outside—hear this: Nigeria will not yield to fear, terror, or treachery,” the President said.

Tinubu praised the soldiers for their bravery and dedication to protecting Nigerian lives. “You are the shield standing between our people and the forces of terror. Every terrorist you neutralize and every community you secure is a step toward justice, freedom, and the future we all desire for our children,” he remarked.

Acknowledging the long-standing challenges of terrorism, banditry, and insurgency, Tinubu described this period as a defining moment in Nigeria’s history. He charged the military to rise to the occasion and end the menace that has plagued the nation for too long. “Nigerians are counting on you to reclaim every inch of our territory and restore peace across the land,” he added.

To bolster the efforts of the armed forces, Tinubu announced plans to provide advanced equipment, superior intelligence, and enhanced logistical support. This move aims to ensure not only the defense of Nigeria but also the complete dominance over adversaries.

Encouraging the troops to maintain their resolve, the President asked, “Are you ready to end this insecurity once and for all? Let your commitment to this cause echo across every valley and forest in this nation.”

In closing, Tinubu acknowledged the military as the cornerstone of Nigeria’s fight against insecurity, expressing confidence in their discipline, courage, and valour. He assured the troops that with their dedication, peace would prevail in the country.
