Michelle Obama recently talked about the rumors going around about her marriage to former President Barack Obama. During an episode of The Diary of a CEO podcast, she made it clear that their relationship is strong and they are not getting a divorce.
Michelle said if there were real problems in their marriage, people would know. “If I were having problems with my husband, everybody would know about it,” she said. She added that she wouldn’t stay quiet and would talk about it openly, even joking, “Let me tell you what he did.”
Michelle also shared that both she and Barack are committed to their relationship. “Neither one of us was ever going to quit, because that’s not who we are,” she explained. “He knows that about me, and I know that about him.”
The rumors started earlier this year when Michelle skipped some public events. She didn’t go to Jimmy Carter’s funeral on January 9, and she also missed Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20.
But Michelle said she just didn’t feel like going. “I feel like now I have permission to do what I want to do,” she said. “I think at 61, I’m finally owning my wisdom.”
