Former England striker Emile Heskey has shared his thoughts on which teams will finish in the top five of the Premier League this season.
Heskey believes that Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa will end the season in the top five. These teams will qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
Chelsea and Nottingham Forest are currently in the top five, but Heskey thinks they will drop out and play in the UEFA Europa League instead.
“I’m excited about the race for the Champions League,” Heskey said in an interview. “Villa have a good chance to get into the top five if they get lucky with results. I see them finishing fifth behind Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle, and Manchester City.”
He added that Nottingham Forest has had a great season but might not keep up their form. He expects the battle for fifth place between Villa, Chelsea, and Forest to be close, but hopes Villa takes the spot.
