The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 27 people suspected of internet fraud in Jalingo, Taraba State.

The arrest was carried out by the EFCC’s Gombe Zonal office on Sunday, April 27, 2025. The suspects were picked up at Fenson Guest House and Mile 6 in Jalingo.

According to a post on EFCC’s X (formerly Twitter) page, the arrests were based on reliable information about their involvement in cybercrime.

During the operation, the EFCC recovered a 2013 Toyota Camry, 27 mobile phones, five laptops, and other electronic devices.

The EFCC said that the suspects will be taken to court after investigations are completed.
