“This is shameful” Financial instructor says after seeing “half slice” of bread being sold in supermarket due to economic hardship

Financial instructor, Kalu Aja, has shown deep concern about the rising economic hardship in Nigeria. He shared a photo online of half a loaf of bread being sold in a supermarket, saying it is a sign of how bad things have gotten.

Kalu called it “shameful and painful” to see bread being sold in smaller portions so that poor people can afford it. In his post on X (formerly Twitter), he referred to it as “sachet bread” and said it clearly shows how poverty has worsened.

He praised the bakery for trying to find a way to help struggling customers. However, he also expressed sadness about the shrinking middle class in Nigeria.

Kalu added that if basic foods like bread and spaghetti are now being sold in very small amounts, it shows that poverty is deep and obvious. He compared the situation to the smell of a dead goat inside a beautiful mansion.

He ended his message by saying that only God can help people now, because things are truly difficult.
