A Southwest Airlines flight from Philadelphia to Chicago turned into a nightmare after a female passenger stripped naked and defecated on her seat during the journey.

According to the airline, the shocking event happened on Flight 418 and led to the police and medical teams being called in to handle the situation.

Because of the incident, the plane had to be taken out of service for a deep cleaning before it could be used again.

Southwest Airlines shared a statement saying their teams are reaching out to passengers on board to apologize for the disturbance and any travel delays they experienced.

“Nothing is more important to Southwest than the safety of our customers and employees, and we are grateful for the professionalism of our flight crew,” the airline added.

This disturbing event comes just a few days after another major airline issue, where a Delta flight at Orlando International Airport had to use emergency slides after the plane carrying 200 people caught fire.
