There was a lot of fear on Saturday in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, when gunshots were heard during a big rally. The event was organized by NEW Associates, a group that supports the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike. News360 Nigeria shared a video showing the situation.
The rally was led by George Turnah, who is the Zonal Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the South-South Zone. He is also the Acting Chairman of the PDP in Bayelsa State.
The event was going smoothly until gunshots suddenly rang out, causing panic among the crowd. Thankfully, peace has now been restored, and everything is back to normal.
