Manchester United are very close to completing a deal to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves. According to well-known football journalist Fabrizio Romano, talks are going well and United are confident that Cunha could be their first new player this summer.
Reports from Brazil, including one from Globo, also say that the transfer discussions are in the final stages after good progress.
One big reason United want Cunha is because he fits well into manager Ruben Amorim’s favorite 3-4-2-1 formation. Amorim is said to be a big fan of Cunha, praising him for being flexible and scoring goals.
The two were even seen talking after recent matches between United and Wolves, showing that there’s a good relationship already.
