Manchester United are getting closer to signing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. Reports say the club is ready to pay his €75 million release clause and have already agreed on basic salary terms with him.
Osimhen, 26, is currently playing on loan at Galatasaray, where he has been in excellent form. He has scored 30 goals and made 7 assists in just 35 games this season.
United’s new manager, Ruben Amorim, is looking to add more firepower to the team, and Osimhen seems to be his top target. The striker was also linked with a move to the Premier League last summer, but he ended up going to Turkey instead.
If the deal goes through, it could lead to some current United players leaving the club. There are rumors that Rasmus Hojlund may be included in the transfer deal with Napoli. Hojlund has not performed well this season, scoring only 8 goals in 45 matches.
