Human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju has made a strong claim about the 2023 Nigerian presidential election. He said that Peter Obi, who ran for president under the Labour Party, secretly supported Bola Tinubu. He also said that Rabiu Kwankwaso of the NNPP helped Tinubu win.

Adeyanju shared his thoughts on social media, saying both politicians might do the same again in the 2027 election.

He also spoke about the idea of creating a strong opposition group to challenge Tinubu in the next election. According to him, for the plan to work, politicians like Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi should not run. He believes a neutral candidate would have a better chance of winning.

“I’m 100% convinced that Obi worked for Tinubu in 2023 and will do so again. I might be wrong, but I’m convinced in my mind about this,” Adeyanju stated.

“Once a businessman, always a businessman. Those still in doubt will see the clear handwriting before 2027. He will refuse to join any coalition.”

He added that many people around famous politicians are only focused on money. As elections come closer, these people see politics as business and don’t tell their leaders the truth.

Adeyanju stressed that putting the country first is more important than personal goals if the opposition wants to win in 2027.
