Popular Afrobeats artist Iyanya has responded to claims that he’s picking sides in the ongoing feud between music stars Wizkid and Davido. The drama between the two artists sparked back up last year after they exchanged harsh words on social media.

Some fans believe Iyanya is now closer to Davido, even though he previously worked with Wizkid on their song “Sexy Mama.” A user on X (formerly Twitter) questioned Iyanya, asking why he seemed to switch sides from Wizkid to Davido.

In response, Iyanya said he has no problems with any artist. He explained that he listens to Wizkid’s albums just like he listens to music from other Nigerian artists. He added that artists often check out each other’s music to stay updated with the latest sounds.

Iyanya also mentioned that he supports both upcoming and popular artists. He gave examples, saying he listens to Fireboy’s and Joeboy’s albums and still hangs out with Burna Boy.

He believes it’s the fans who are creating unnecessary drama. “I don’t have enemies,” Iyanya said. “Stop making it about who’s friends with who. We’re all just doing our job.”
