I assisted you to bury your mother – Kwam1 drags Kollington over failure to reciprocate

Popular Nigerian Fuji singer, Wasiu Ayinde, also known as Kwam1, has expressed deep disappointment towards his senior and mentor, Ayinla Kollington. Kwam1 said Kollington did not show any support or send condolences when his mother died in January 2025.

In a recent radio interview with Bamidele Adeyanju on Agbaletu Radio, Kwam1 shared how he had helped Kollington in the past. He said he fully supported Kollington during the burial of his own mother. Kwam1 explained that he paid for everything and brought important guests, including governors, to the funeral.

Kwam1 is now upset that Kollington did not return the favor. He said Kollington was in good health and still in Nigeria when his mother passed away, yet didn’t reach out. The only excuse given was that he tried calling, but Kwam1 didn’t pick up.

Kwam1 asked, “Is that a good reason? Shouldn’t I be angry?”

He feels betrayed and hurt because he expected at least a simple message or visit from someone he once helped deeply.
