Coppa Italia: AC Milan end Inter’s Treble ambitions

AC Milan stopped Inter Milan’s dream of winning a Treble this season by beating them 3-0 in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final.

The first match ended 1-1, but Milan were much better in the second leg at the San Siro. Luka Jovic scored two goals in the 36th and 50th minutes, giving Milan control of the game. Tijani Reijnders scored the third goal in the 85th minute to seal the win.

With this victory, Milan moves on to the Coppa Italia final. They will face either Bologna or Empoli. Milan last won the Coppa Italia in the 2002-03 season. Their most recent final appearance was in 2018, where they lost 4-0 to Juventus.

For Inter Milan, their focus now shifts to the Champions League semi-final against Barcelona. They are also leading the Serie A table under coach Simone Inzaghi.
