I don’t miss tennis – Nadal

Tennis star Rafael Nadal has said he does not miss playing tennis since he retired. The 38-year-old legend was given the Sporting Icon award at the Laureus World Sports Awards in Madrid on Monday.

Nadal had an amazing career, winning 22 Grand Slam titles. He won the French Open (Roland Garros) 14 times. He played his last match in November at the Davis Cup in Malaga before retiring.

Speaking to reporters, Nadal said, “I don’t miss tennis at all. Zero.”

He explained that he didn’t stop because he was tired or angry with the sport. He loved playing tennis and would have continued if his body had let him.

“It was my passion. But when you see that your body can’t do it anymore, you know it’s time to move on. And that’s what I did,” he added.
