A tragic incident occurred in Ilesha Baruba, Kwara State, when gunmen stormed a motor park and opened fire, killing four people and leaving two others seriously injured.

According to reports from intelligence sources, the attack happened around 9:30 pm on Monday, April 21, 2025. About 10 armed men targeted individuals relaxing at a local joint near the motor park, shooting indiscriminately and causing panic in the community.

Among the victims who lost their lives were Alhaji Ja’awire, Abduljabar, and Mohammed Nasamu, alongside three others whose identities have not yet been confirmed. The injured individuals were quickly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Security forces responded to the scene of the attack. The corpses of the deceased were moved to the Ilesha Baruba Morgue for autopsy, while investigations into the tragic event are underway.

This attack highlights ongoing security challenges in the region, leaving the community in mourning and raising concerns about safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
