Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has made it clear that he is not planning to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He responded to recent rumours on his verified Facebook and X (Twitter) pages. In his post, Governor Lawal said he is still a loyal member of the PDP and is focused on his work for the people.
“I am Dauda Lawal, a proud member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Disregard the fake news from those trying to distract us from the RESCUE MISSION we are on,” he said.
The governor also mentioned that his main goal is to deliver on the promises he made to the people of Zamfara, not to get involved in political drama.
His statement came after reports started spreading that he might be considering a move to the APC.
Zamfara State is located in the North-West region of Nigeria and has seen political shifts in recent years. But according to Governor Lawal, he is staying with the PDP and staying focused on leadership, not party politics.
