Morocco 2025: Flamingos thrash Algeria 4-0 in Ikenne

Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team, the Flamingos, had a fantastic match on Saturday as they defeated Algeria 4–0 in the first leg of their final qualifying round for the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. The game took place in Ikenne, Nigeria.

The Flamingos started strong with Queens Joseph scoring just three minutes after kick-off. Zainab Oluwaseun added another goal in the 13th minute, and Joseph scored her second goal only three minutes later, making it 3–0 in the first half.

Near the end of the match, substitute Aishat Animashaun scored the fourth goal in the 90th minute, sealing a big win for Nigeria.

The second leg will be played on Friday, April 25, at the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida, Algeria.
