Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed the key signing the club needs to make during the upcoming summer transfer window — a new full-back.
After a 5-2 win against Crystal Palace in the Premier League, Guardiola spoke about the need to strengthen his squad. City have had a challenging season. They were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League by Real Madrid and are currently behind teams like Liverpool, Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, and Newcastle United in the league standings.
Guardiola made it clear that bringing in a proper full-back is important. Although young player Nico O’Reilly has been helping the team, Guardiola said, “He is not a left-back.” This means City will be looking to bring in someone with more experience in that position to help improve the team next season.
City fans will now be waiting to see who the club targets to fill this important role.
