A major fire broke out in Batakashi village, located in the Garki Local Government Area of Jigawa State, destroying over 45 homes, 35 silos, and livestock. The fire started on Friday night, and eyewitnesses reported that it caused serious damage, leaving three people injured.

According to Malam Musa, an eyewitness, the fire destroyed several properties, including livestock, silos, clothes, and other valuable items. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

Adamu Hudu Kore, the Chairman of Garki Local Government, visited the village to show sympathy to the victims and assess the damage. The police spokesman, SP Lawan Shiisu Adam, stated that the police have not yet received an official report on the incident but will share more information once available.
