EPL: Details of Salah’s new contract revealed

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has signed a new two-year contract with the club, putting an end to rumors about his future.

The 32-year-old forward was going to be a free agent this summer, and big clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and some teams from Saudi Arabia were interested in signing him.

But Salah has now agreed to stay at Anfield, earning around £380,000 a week. This deal makes him one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League.

What’s surprising is that Liverpool’s owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), usually don’t give new contracts to players over the age of 30. Salah and his agent, Ramy Abbas, had been asking for a better offer for a while.

While Salah wanted a three-year extension, he agreed to a two-year deal instead. Still, Liverpool made an exception to their usual rule by offering him this contract at his age
