Beyoncé and Jay-Z are no longer part of a shocking lawsuit against music star Sean “Diddy” Combs. The man who filed the case, Manzaro Joseph, changed his story and removed any mention of the famous couple.
Earlier this month, Joseph said that Diddy drugged and embarrassed him during a 2015 birthday party for Diddy’s son, King Combs. He also claimed that Beyoncé and Jay-Z saw him wearing a shocking mask and were surprised by it. Beyoncé was said to have asked why a “half-naked white man with a c**k mask” was standing in front of her.
But in updated court papers, Joseph has taken out all mentions of Beyoncé and Jay-Z. His lawsuit still focuses on Diddy and others, including music producer Emilio Estefan.
Sources told TMZ that the change happened after Jay-Z’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, contacted Joseph’s legal team. Spiro showed proof that Jay-Z and Beyoncé were not in Miami when the party happened. This likely helped avoid a legal fight over the false claim.
This is the second time recently that Jay-Z’s name has been cleared in a legal case involving Diddy. A different lawsuit, where a woman accused both of sexual assault in 2000, was also dropped last month.
Even though the famous couple is out of the case, Joseph is still moving forward with his claims against Diddy, saying the party was a terrible and humiliating experience.
