The Anambra State police have arrested four men for threatening to kidnap and cause violence in the Ihiala area. On April 10, 2025, the police acted on a report about some criminals making threats of abduction and violence.

The police arrested the suspects—Chimezie Ezebuo, Chinaza Ndimani, Chinecherem Okafor, and Nzube Azubuike—all from Okohia, Ihiala.

‘’The Operatives recovered Phones and SIM cards used by the suspects to threaten their victims thereby causing panic in the area and jeopardizing the efforts of the Security Agencies and the general security of the State. Meanwhile, all the suspects confessed to the crime and were taken into custody for further interrogations.”

The police said that the threats were made towards innocent people in the area, including cyberstalking. They are focused on ensuring the safety of the public and making sure those who cause fear are held responsible for their actions.
