Dimitri Payet, a former Premier League football player who now plays for Vasco da Gama in Brazil, is being investigated by the police after serious claims from a Brazilian woman.

A 28-year-old lawyer named Larissa Natalya Ferrari has accused Payet of physically, emotionally, and sexually abusing her. She said the abuse happened between January 25 and February 6, 2025.

Larissa said she had an affair with Payet from September 2024 until March 2025. Payet is married and has four children.

In an interview with Brazilian news outlet G1, Larissa said the footballer hurt her during their private moments. She claimed he hit her, stepped on her, and forced her to do disturbing things like putting her head in the trash and drinking her own urine.

She said Payet used her mental health struggles against her and made her feel like she had to accept his behavior to stay in the relationship.

Larissa has now left Rio de Janeiro and is getting help through psychological and psychiatric treatment.

The case is still under investigation by the authorities.
