Nigerian music star Joeboy lost a big sports bet after Arsenal beat Real Madrid 3-0 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday.

Just hours before the match started, Joeboy shared a picture of his betting slip on social media, saying, “Cashing out on Arsenal tears tonight!” He was confident that Real Madrid would win the game at the Emirates Stadium.

If Madrid had won, Joeboy could have walked away with over N10 million. But things didn’t go his way.

Arsenal’s Declan Rice scored two amazing free-kick goals, and Mikel Merino added a third goal to seal a comfortable win for the Gunners.

After the match, Joeboy didn’t have much to say. He simply posted “Goodnight” on Twitter.

Arsenal will now head to Spain for the second leg against Real Madrid next Wednesday, hoping to secure a spot in the semi-finals. Before then, they will face Brentford in a Premier League match.
