He only helped me halfway – Portable explains his beef with Olamide

Nigerian singer Portable, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, has opened up about his ongoing disagreement with rapper and music executive Olamide.

In a recent interview on EchoRoom, Portable said his problem with Olamide started because he felt Olamide didn’t support him enough when he was just starting out.

Portable explained that Olamide gave him a verse on the remix of his 2021 hit song Zazu, but didn’t offer him full support or management afterward. He said that while he was thankful for the verse, he expected more from someone like Olamide.

“I can’t be angry with Skepta because he supported me fully. Olamide only gave me a verse on Zazu and left. He didn’t hold my hand. He didn’t manage me. Now I’m a global star, and he can’t sign me,” Portable said.

He also accused Olamide in the past of taking away his producer, dancer, and promoter. However, Olamide has not responded to any of these claims.
