Activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, believes President Bola Tinubu will have no trouble winning a second term if elections were held in Nigeria today.

He explained that there is hardly any strong opposition in the country, making it easy for the President to secure victory again. According to Adeyanju, the lack of political challengers gives Tinubu a clear advantage.

Many Nigerians have shared different opinions on the state of the opposition and whether Tinubu would truly have an easy win. However, Adeyanju insists that the absence of a strong rival means the President remains in a dominant position.

‘’If elections were to hold today, Tinubu will secure a second term easily. There’s practically no opposition in the country. There was no resistance to the Rivers unconstitutional act. This government can get away with absolutely anything. Everybody waiting for everybody to act.”
