In a recent interview with Pastor Emmanuel Iren, Paul shared that the record label wanted him to reduce the number of times he mentioned “Jesus” in his songs. Instead, they suggested using alternative names like “Righteous One” or “Greatest Lover.”

Paul was shocked by this request. He responded firmly, saying, “You can keep the money while I keep the name.” He chose to stay true to his faith rather than compromise for financial gain.

The singer also commented on how the gospel music industry has changed over time. He noted that many music ministers now follow industry trends instead of focusing on their ministry.

He even pointed out that marketers in Alaba influenced gospel musicians to include speaking in tongues in their songs.
