Popular TikTok influencer Habeeb Hamzat, also known as Peller, has lost almost 1 million followers on Instagram and TikTok. This happened after he spoke against the viral 30-day rant challenge.

Peller shared a video online where he criticized Nigerians who were participating in the challenge. He warned that the challenge might lead to the government banning TikTok in Nigeria.

However, his comments were not well received. Many social media users slammed him for his opinion. As a result, a large number of his followers decided to unfollow him.

The backlash has made Peller one of the most talked-about influencers in Nigeria recently.

The TikTok star said in the viral video:

“If you want to really rant, go to Instagram; go to the market; don’t rant here on TikTok. If they ban TikTok, that’s where we will have issue.”

A report by TVC showed that he lost 500k followers on Tiktok, while another 400k unfollowed him on Instagram.
