Nigerian actress Lilian Afegbai has expressed her surprise and frustration after discovering that a friend was selling wedding aso ebi in dollars.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, she shared her shock when she saw that the fabric cost $1,200. Initially, she thought the price was in Naira, but after checking the details, she realized it was actually in dollars.

Afegbai questioned why Nigerian brides were charging such high amounts for wedding fabrics. She calculated the amount in Naira and found it to be in millions, expressing disbelief that guests were expected to pay so much just to attend a wedding.

She urged brides to be more considerate, reminding them that “there is life after the wedding.”
