Kenneth Omeruo has shown support for his Super Eagles teammates despite their 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The match, played in Uyo on Tuesday, saw Nigeria take the lead in the 74th minute through Victor Osimhen. However, Zimbabwe’s substitute, Chawanda Chirewa, scored a late equalizer, denying the Super Eagles a win.
After the game, Omeruo shared his thoughts on X, saying, “Well done boys… we are almost there.. unlucky with the late goal.. #Believe.”
With this result, Nigeria remains in fourth place in Group C with seven points from six games. The team will now shift focus to their next match against Rwanda in September.
