Adams targets Sevilla success, Super Eagles call-up

Jerome Adams is focused on making a positive impact at his new club, Sevilla. The Nigerian striker joined the Spanish La Liga team permanently in January from Montpellier in France’s Ligue 1.

Since his arrival, Adams has only played once due to an injury but is determined to get back on track. The 25-year-old forward was recently included in Nigeria’s provisional squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe and Rwanda.

In an interview with La Liga and Nigerian journalists, Adams said his main priority is doing well for Sevilla. He believes that by performing well at the club level, he will increase his chances of getting called up to the national team.

“My focus right now is absolutely on Sevilla,” Adams stated. “We have a lot of goals to achieve this season, and the better I perform here, the more likely I am to get the chance with the national team.”

Adams is committed to his club and hopes that success with Sevilla will lead to a spot in the Super Eagles squad for the World Cup qualifiers.
