South Korea has warned that North Korea should not be rewarded for its actions related to the war in Ukraine. The country’s Foreign Minister, Cho Tae-yul, stated on Saturday that military cooperation between North Korea and Russia must stop.
Cho emphasized that South Korea, Japan, and China should strictly follow UN sanctions against North Korea. He added that the three nations must work together to prevent North Korea’s provocations and push for its complete denuclearisation.
The South Korean minister is set to meet with his counterparts from China and Japan in Tokyo. This meeting marks the first trilateral talks between the three countries since 2023.
