2026 WCQ: Rohr predicts what Zimbabwe will do to Nigeria’s Super Eagles in Uyo

Benin Republic’s head coach, Gernot Rohr, has warned that Zimbabwe will be a tough opponent for Nigeria when both teams meet in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.

The match will take place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, where Nigeria’s Super Eagles will be looking for a crucial win.

Zimbabwe, coached by Eric Chelle, recently played a 2-2 draw against Benin, while Nigeria’s last game saw them secure a 2-0 victory over Rwanda in Kigali.

After Zimbabwe’s draw with Benin, Rohr shared his thoughts in a post-match press conference. He admitted that Zimbabwe put up a strong fight in the game, especially in the second half.

He also mentioned that their chances of qualifying for the World Cup are slim, but they will still give their best effort against Nigeria and in their upcoming matches against Rwanda and Lesotho.

Currently, Nigeria is in fourth place in Group C, while Zimbabwe sits at the bottom of the table. The Super Eagles will be aiming for a win to improve their position in the standings.

Will Nigeria secure all three points, or will Zimbabwe pull off a surprise result? Fans will be eagerly watching on Tuesday evening.
