Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (Rtd) has officially taken charge as the sole administrator of Rivers State. He arrived at the government house in Port Harcourt on the morning of March 20 to begin his duties.
Reacting to this development, APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe shared his thoughts on social media, pointing out that a “Calabar man” has now taken over leadership in the state.
Ibas, a retired naval officer, was appointed to oversee the state’s affairs, marking a significant change in Rivers State politics. His appointment has generated discussions across political circles.
As he assumes office, many will be watching closely to see how he handles the responsibilities of leading the state.
Sharing photos of Ibas sitting on the seat of power in Rivers state, Igbowe wrote;
‘’When two siblings fought themselves to death, a stranger would take over their inheritance. A Calabar man has taken over in PH.”
