United States President Donald Trump has said he will likely speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday. He shared this information with reporters while traveling on Air Force One on Sunday night.

According to Fox News, Trump was returning to Washington, D.C., from Florida when he mentioned the upcoming conversation.

“We will see if we have something to announce maybe by Tuesday,” Trump said.

Reports suggest that the discussion may include ideas about dividing land, power plants, and other resources as a way to end the war in Ukraine.

Trump is working to get Putin’s support for a 30-day ceasefire that Ukraine already agreed to last week. However, Putin has stated that certain conditions must be met before Russia will accept the deal.

Russia has also demanded strong guarantees that Ukraine will not join NATO and that it will remain neutral in any future agreements.
