I don’t want to have child out of wedlock – Rema

Nigerian music star Rema has made it clear that he doesn’t want to have children outside of marriage. He believes in being intentional about life choices and avoids a promiscuous lifestyle.

Rema, who recently became the first Black African artist to be featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, shared his thoughts on family and fatherhood. He said he wants to build a strong family and doesn’t want to become a father by accident.

“I feel like there’s a need for us [family] to grow and become a strong empire. I also don’t want to wait for it to happen by mistake before I take responsibility. I’m very intentional, and I don’t mess around,” Rema said.

The singer also spoke about his close relationships with fellow artists Ayra Starr and South African singer Tyla.

“Ayra is family, for sure. Tyla is family too. We’ve been good friends even before all the fame,” he shared.

Meanwhile, American singer and actress Selena Gomez has expressed her admiration for Rema. She said she was already a fan of his song Calm Down before joining him on the remix.

“I am completely impressed with Rema as an artist. I believe he has a bright future ahead. What stands out to me is how Calm Down kept growing in popularity even a year after its release,” she said in an interview with Rolling Stone.

Rema continues to make waves in the music industry, gaining recognition worldwide for his unique style and dedication to his craft.
