Popular Nigerian entertainer and activist, Charley Boy, has voiced his frustration over the country’s leadership. His reaction comes after Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment and reported him to the United Nations.
Taking to Instagram, Charley Boy, whose real name is Charles Oputa, strongly criticized those in power. He lamented the state of Nigeria, saying that the country is in disarray due to corrupt leaders.
He specifically called out the National Assembly, saying it is filled with men who lack values and self-respect. He described them as shameless and reckless individuals.
Charley Boy also addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding Akpabio, noting that similar allegations have followed him throughout his political career. He expressed disappointment that victims are often punished while those in power continue to enjoy privileges.
According to him, Nigeria is one of the few places where criminals hold positions of authority, calling its leaders a mix of corrupt individuals, drug dealers, and sexual predators.
His bold statement has sparked reactions, with many Nigerians sharing similar frustrations about the country’s political system.
