Nigerian music star Davido has been featured on King Charles III’s special music playlist, The King’s Music Room. His song “Kante,” featuring Fave, is one of the tracks selected for this exclusive playlist. The song is from Davido’s 2023 album, Timeless, which was nominated for a Grammy.
The playlist was revealed to celebrate Commonwealth Day 2025 and showcases music from different parts of the Commonwealth. It includes various genres such as disco, reggae, and Afrobeats. Alongside Davido, the playlist features legendary musicians like Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue, Grace Jones, and Beyoncé.

He also expressed his admiration for Pidgin English and remembered trying to speak it during his visit to Nigeria. He noted how Afrobeats is becoming a worldwide sensation, making Davido’s song a perfect addition to the playlist.
