Former France international Bacary Sagna has shared his thoughts on the Champions League and Premier League title race. He believes that despite Liverpool’s 1-0 win in the first leg against PSG, the French club can still eliminate them from the competition.

Sagna also thinks Arsenal can still win the Premier League, even though Liverpool currently hold a 13-point lead.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Sagna said Arsenal are doing well, but some fans expected them to be closer to Liverpool at this stage. He admitted that catching up will be tough but not impossible.

“I think Arsenal can still close the gap. Liverpool played against PSG, and I saw moments where they didn’t perform well. If Arsenal take advantage of such moments, they might catch up,” he explained.

Sagna added that PSG have a strong chance to qualify for the next Champions League round. If Liverpool get knocked out, it could affect their confidence in other competitions.

“At the moment, Liverpool are doing great because of their results, but you never know what will happen next,” he said.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are the current Champions League holders, while Manchester City are the defending Premier League champions.
