Nigerian actor and content creator Yemi Elesho has revealed details about his long-time friendship with Grammy-winning singer Asake.

In an interview with streamer Jigan, Elesho recalled their days at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, where they worked together on skits and movies. He shared that back then, Asake would act in his productions in exchange for a ₦700 plate of rice and a bottle of Coca-Cola.

“He is my close friend from way back,” Elesho said. “I have pictures and videos from our time at OAU. We even played celebrity football matches together.”
