The Bauchi State Police Command is investigating a shocking case where a woman allegedly killed her 20-year-old co-wife, Hajara Isa, and tried to cover up the crime.

The incident happened on February 28, 2025, at their home in the Anguwan Sarakuna area of Bauchi. According to a statement by the police spokesperson, CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, the suspect, Fatima Mohammed, admitted to strangling Hajara.

After killing her, she reportedly poured hot water on the body and tried to burn it using a Bagco sack.

The police have started a full investigation into the case, and more details are expected as the inquiry continues.
