LaLiga: I’m at my best right now – Vinicius Jr

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr believes he is playing at his best right now. The Brazilian has been in great form this season, scoring 17 goals and providing 12 assists in 35 matches across all competitions.

In La Liga, he has scored nine goals and assisted seven times in 20 matches. Speaking to the media before Real Madrid’s Champions League Round of 16 first-leg match against Atletico Madrid, Vinicius said:

“I’m at my best right now. I had some injuries, and with so many games, it’s impossible to be at 100% all the time.”

Real Madrid secured a 2-1 victory over Atletico Madrid in the first leg, giving them a small advantage before the second leg next week.

The 23-year-old also spoke about the challenges of playing many games, saying that footballers often play with injuries.

“When you play 80 games in a season, you can’t always be at your best, physically or mentally. Many players deal with injuries while playing.”

Despite this, Vinicius is happy with his performance and knows fans expect more from him. He is confident that Real Madrid will perform even better in the final part of the season.

“I think my season is going well. Fans always expect more from me, but now we are entering the most important part of the season. At Real Madrid, we always play better when it matters the most.”

Real Madrid, however, faced a setback in La Liga last weekend when they lost 2-1 to Real Betis. They will now focus on bouncing back as they continue their chase for trophies this season.
