Jude Okoye, the former manager of the defunct music group P-Square, has been granted bail of N100 million after being accused of fraud.
On Monday, March 3, 2025, a court approved his bail ahead of his trial for allegedly laundering N1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arraigned him and remanded him in Ikoyi prison on Friday before the court granted him bail.
As part of the bail conditions, Okoye must provide two sureties who each own landed properties worth N100 million in Lagos. He is also not allowed to leave the country without permission.
His trial is scheduled to begin on April 14, 2025.
