Use time you spend on internet abusing govt to learn skills – Tinubu’s aide to Nigerian youths

Tope Fasua, the Special Adviser on Economic Affairs to President Bola Tinubu, has advised Nigerian youths to stop spending time criticizing the government online. Instead, he encouraged them to use that time to learn new skills that can help them succeed.

Speaking on Politics Today on Channels Television, Fasua stated that there are many opportunities in Nigeria, but only those who prepare themselves will benefit.Learn a skill instead of complaining

Fasua emphasized that Nigeria’s economy is growing and that people are making money. However, those who do not develop useful skills may struggle to find good opportunities.

If someone makes themselves unemployable, they will have issues,” he said. “There are free training programs online. You can either spend your time complaining about the government or use it to improve yourself.”

The presidential aide shared an example of a comedian who lost over $3 million (about ₦6 billion) in foreign exchange gambling. Despite this huge loss, the comedian still had a lot of money left, showing that many Nigerians are doing well financially.

Fasua made it clear that no one wants Nigerians to suffer. Instead, he encouraged young people to take advantage of available opportunities and equip themselves with skills. By doing this, they can improve their chances of success in the country’s growing economy.
