U.S. President Donald Trump has chosen retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Dan “Razin” Caine as the new Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. This decision follows the removal of General CQ Brown from the role.
Trump announced Caine’s appointment on his Truth Social account, highlighting his contributions in fighting ISIS during Trump’s first term. He also claimed that the previous administration under Joe Biden had ignored Caine for a promotion despite his qualifications.
CQ Brown, the second Black officer to hold this position, gained public attention in 2020 when he spoke about racial issues following the death of George Floyd.
Trump’s move marks a significant shift in military leadership as he continues to reshape key positions in his administration.
