Popular Nigerian musicians, Wizkid and Davido, have been named winners at the 2025 NAACP Image Awards.

The 56th edition of the prestigious awards took place this week, with winners announced on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Wizkid won the ‘Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration’ category for his song with American singer Brent Faiyaz. This marks Wizkid’s sixth NAACP Image Award, making him the most awarded Nigerian artist in the event’s history.

Meanwhile, Davido won in the ‘Outstanding International Song’ category for his collaboration with Chris Brown.

Other Nigerian artists, including Tems and Burna Boy, were nominated but did not win in their categories.

The NAACP Image Awards, organized by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), honor outstanding achievements in entertainment, arts, and media.
