A tragic incident happened at Government Girls Science and Technical College (GGSTC), Potiskum, Yobe State, when part of a classroom block collapsed during class hours on Thursday.
Sadly, one student lost her life in the accident, while several others were injured. The injured students were quickly taken to the hospital for treatment.
The exact cause of the building collapse is still unknown at the time of this report.
GGSTC Potiskum is a public boarding school for girls, established in 1979 to promote science and technical education in Yobe State.
Authorities are expected to investigate the incident to prevent future occurrences and ensure the safety of students.
